About Us
In 1980 Steve Watts, a boatbuilder by trade, was asked to build 3 Full Size Ford Anglia Cars for a TV Commercial ("Carlos Fandago" for Panama Cigars). This required similar skills and an acute attention to detail, both well developed in boatbuilding. Working with a very tight work deadline, Steve’s Creativity, and Ingenuity were stretched almost to the limit, but, after two hard weeks the cars were built, the customer was speechless, Steve’s job satisfaction was sky high, and so, Creative Modelmaking was established.
Most of our jobs are individual commissions for Advertising Agencies, Commercial Photographers, Exhibition & TV Set Designers or Contractors, TV Production Buyers and Design Consultants.
Along side our Modelmaking activities we also offer a Prototype, Pattern Making and GRP Mould Making Service, with the capability of Moulding short production volumes. This section of the business stems directly from Steve’s former trade as a boat builder. We have worked regularly for some years now for Small Manufacturing and Display Companies in the Midlands region.
